We are members of the NICEIC, and are approved to carry out and issue direct to our customers an Electrical Installation Certification (EIC). The issue of an Electrical Installation Certificate is the initial verification of an installation and is a full inspection of all circuits, fittings and the Design, Selection and Erection of any installation. An Electrical Installation Certificate is issued in certain conditions as follows:
- New installations in new buildings.
- Rewires of existing installations.
- Partial rewires of existing installations.
- Any new circuit that is fitted to an existing installation that requires a new circuit breaker/fuse.
- Fuse board changes.
Note: An EIC may reduce the premium you pay for your buildings insurance.
The Electrical Installation Certificate is an essential part of any new installation, as it is the initial report covering how the installation was designed, constructed and eventually inspected. In each case the person or company responsible for that area must sign to say that it is safe and has been installed to British Standards BS7671-2008.

With regard to Domestic Installations, we inform the council that the work has been carried out and issue you with a copy of the Part P building regulations certificate along with an approved NICEIC Electrical Installation Certificate. These should be kept in a safe location as they will be required if you wish to sell your property and will be asked for by the surveyor carrying out your Home Information Pack Survey (HIPS).
Cost of Inspection:
The cost of a Electrical Installation Certification is based on the extent of work, and as such can not be quoted on a fixed price due to unforeseen variations in different buildings.
